Rakeback

A rebate on the rake (fee) charged by the poker room. Players receive a percentage of the rake they've paid back into their account, reducing the effective cost of playing. Rakeback deals are a primary way crypto poker affiliates provide value to players and can range from 10% to over 50% at some crypto poker rooms.

Quick answer

Rakeback is a refund of part of the poker fees you paid. If a room or affiliate pays 30% rakeback and you generate $300 in rake, you receive $90 back. The payment may be cash, bonus credit, VIP points, or a weekly cashback reward.

Example

You paid $500 in rake this month at a room offering 33% rakeback. You receive $165 back into your account, effectively reducing your cost of play.

How rakeback affects real play

The headline rate is not the whole deal

A 40% offer can be worse than a 25% offer if it clears slowly, excludes some games, or pays in restricted bonus money. Check the payout method before chasing the highest number.

High-volume players benefit most

Rakeback matters more when you play many hands or tournaments. Casual players still benefit, but the difference may be small compared with table quality, withdrawal speed, and game selection.

Crypto rooms may pay faster

Some crypto poker rooms settle rakeback weekly or instantly through account credit. That can be useful for bankroll planning, but the value still depends on the games you can beat.

Rakeback is not profit by itself

Rewards reduce costs; they do not fix losing strategy. Treat rakeback as part of expected value, not as a reason to play bad tables or move up too quickly.

Rakeback questions players ask

How do you calculate rakeback?

Multiply the rake you generated by the rakeback percentage. If you paid $200 in rake and receive 35% rakeback, the expected return is $70 before any restrictions or conversion rules.

Is rakeback paid in cash?

Sometimes. Rakeback can be paid as cash, withdrawable account credit, VIP points, tournament tickets, or bonus funds. Cash and withdrawable credit are usually the cleanest forms.

Can rakeback make a losing player profitable?

It can help, but it rarely fixes a large losing rate. Rakeback is strongest for players who are already close to break-even or winning before rewards.
